The Hygiene Assistant will support the Hygienist in providing dental care. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, sterilizing instruments, setting up trays, and assisting during procedures. The assistant will also be responsible for maintaining patient records, taking x-rays, performing coronal polishing, and instructing patients on oral hygiene. Additional duties include managing inventory, scheduling appointments, applying fluoride, and placing sealants. The position may require relocation to other Dental Depot clinics and involves adherence to company policies, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations. Administrative and maintenance tasks may also be assigned.
