As a Hydrogen Fueling Technician, you will execute principal responsibilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our hydrogen fueling stations and customer supply facilities in accordance with local and national regulations and standards. You will also execute maintenance activities (preventive, corrective and predictive). Why Messer? Requirements

  • Must be able to do bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting activities as well as carry loads up to 50 pounds
  • Basic math, computer proficiency, and ability to work with simple mechanic's hand tools
  • Capable of operating a forklift, overhead crane, and/or man lift.
  • HSD with a certificate in a technical discipline OR an Associates degree, Or recent military training in a technical field is required
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an industrial plant in the operations or maintenance department is preferable

Responsibilities

  • Apply the Hazardous Work Permit (HWP) process, Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) and energy isolation procedures
  • Participate in safety committee activities
  • Maintain site security and maintain site orderliness
  • Perform safety indoctrinations for contractors
  • Direct and monitor contractors
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP)
  • Document activities and data in plant electronic logbook and SAP system
  • Follow EMOC procedure for all changes to plant equipment. process and operating procedures
  • Perform analyzer calibrations on product delivery systems
  • Lead shutdowns, start-ups of the H2 fueling systems
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment problems to identify equipment requiring maintenance included after qualified low voltage electrical equipment.
  • Complete all training activities according to schedule and meet annual performance goals
  • Availability for call-in duty and overtime
