About The Position

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking a Hydroblast Foreman who will oversee field crews and ensure that environmental projects and emergency responses are completed efficiently.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership or crew lead role required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Environmental Field or Oil and Gas sectors required.
  • Experience with hydroblasting and vacuum operations required.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends, if required.
  • Emergency response experience required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have acceptable ID, pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to read and write.
  • Must have basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of confined space entry is an asset.
  • Possession of a TWIC card is a plus but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the top priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
  • The Foreman is responsible for overseeing field crews and ensuring that environmental projects and emergency responses are completed efficiently.
  • Assignments will encompass both environmental and industrial cleaning projects.
  • Responsible for the successful execution of setting up and assisting with water treatment systems, pipeline hydrostatic testing and various other responsibilities
  • Overseeing projects related to tank cleaning, plant shutdowns, spill cleanup, and emergency response.
  • Supervising confined space entries and emergency response operations.
  • Ensuring that proper inspections and calibrations are performed on life-monitoring equipment before it is taken on-site.
  • Allocating and verifying that the appropriate equipment is available and on-site to complete the project.
  • Accurately completing and submitting daily worksheets for proper billing to the customer.
  • Ensuring all required daily paperwork is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner (e.g., confined space entry permits, safety audits).
  • Training and mentoring Environmental Technicians.
  • Managing safety performance and reporting.
  • Performing other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
