About The Position

B.H. Inc. (BHI) is hiring a full-time Hydrovac Swamper (Hydrovac Laborer) in Cedar City, Utah to support our hydrovac operators with safe, efficient excavation work at project sites. Pay is $20–$26 per hour, depending on experience, with weekly paychecks and full benefits. No hydrovac experience? No problem. If you want to work outdoors, learn hydrovac equipment, and build toward an operator role, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

• Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn
• Able to perform physical labor, handle heavy hoses and equipment, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to follow directions, work well with a crew, and communicate clearly
• Able to travel to project sites and work occasional overtime
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Hydrovac Operator in completing excavation work safely and efficiently
• Handle vacuum and water hoses during daily operations
• Help pothole and expose underground utilities
• Set up and maintain safe work zones at each jobsite
• Help complete pre-trip inspections and make sure the truck, tools, hoses, and safety equipment are ready each day
• Clean and organize the hydrovac truck and equipment after each job
• Communicate with the operator and jobsite crews, and follow all safety procedures
