About The Position

Roloff Construction is seeking a safety-minded Hydro Excavator Operator (Hydrovac Truck Driver) to operate a hydrovac truck and safely expose and verify the location and depth of underground utilities, including gas, water, electric, and fiber. The operator performs pre-, during-, and post-operation checks and maintains the truck and equipment in top condition. The role also involves keeping job sites clean, safe, and secure at the end of every shift. This is an outdoor, full-time position that generally involves about 50 hours per week and some Saturdays.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements.
• Driving record that meets the company’s insurance requirements.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and ability to maintain all required DOT documentation.
• Ability to identify different utility types and follow safe excavation practices.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, generally about 50 hours per week, with some Saturdays, outdoors in all kinds of weather.
• Commitment to safety, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
