Hydro Excavation Technician (Non-CDL)
About The Position

This role involves hydro excavation, also known as potholing or keyholing, which is essential for exposing utilities for design and excavation purposes. These are full-time positions located throughout the CNY area, requiring work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, with daytime hours and potential overtime and some weekend work.
Requirements
- Able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Comfortable working in a confined space; can walk, bend, and lift to 75 pounds
- Computer proficient
- Available to work overtime and some weekends (as needed)
- Utility, Construction and/or Military experience
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Currently possesses or can acquire a DOT medical card for all positions
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
Responsibilities
- Travel to an assigned work site to perform vacuum excavation, which involves soil extraction through a vacuum using pressurized water or air to break ground
- Responsible for successful vacuum excavation which exposes utilities for design and excavation purposes
- Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Use a company provided laptop to detail the project
- Perform various hydro excavation activities near utilities, including core drilling, shoveling, backfilling, and construction labor
