About The Position

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Hydraulics Engineering Intern to assist design engineers with multiple tasks involving mechanical engineering functions in the Design Team. Through this position, you will become familiar with JLG engineering process, tools, and hydraulic systems for booms and scissors. You will play a key role by assisting design engineers with multiple tasks involving the mechanical engineering functions in the Design Team. Requirements

• Student working towards a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, mechanical or related engineering degree.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

Nice To Haves

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• 3D Modeling and Drafting experience preferred.
• Willingness to be hands on within various project phases, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Select parts or components for quality conscious design, i.e., weight, cost, reliability, and ease of manufacturing.
• Prepare vehicle component layouts using Creo and other CAD software.
• Read and understand hydraulic schematics for boom and scissor models.
• Generate engineering calculations of flow, pressure, performance estimations, etc.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems.
• Perform or assist in the testing of complete vehicles or vehicle components.
• Use, develop and exercise design tools.
• Analyze hydraulic test data and prototype test data for performance information.
