STV has an exciting opportunity for a Hydraulics Engineer to join our growing Atlantic practice. This hybrid position may be located in our Columbia or North Charleston, South Carolina offices. The successful candidate will: Independently prepare Storm Water Management Reports and culvert/bridge hydrologic & hydraulic studies Independently prepare and submit stormwater permit documentation through various agencies Participate in project development meetings Serve as the lead drainage engineer and Engineer of Record on projects as directed by senior staff. Provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects, including storm drains, culverts, storm water management, green stormwater, ESD/LID facilities, and erosion and sediment control. Coordinate design development and assist with technical direction of junior staff Achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget Independently prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports Establishing working relationships and interface with client technical staff and project managers Mentoring supporting water resource design staff The candidate will be independently designing and mentoring junior staff for successful project outcomes.
