About The Position

The GIR DEL Business Centre is the largest full service mobile hydraulic facility in Western Canada, providing knowledgeable customer service for over 40 years. We are a Division of Guillevin International Co. and are certified as a GREAT PLACE TO WORK. We are open to out-of-province applicants and will consider relocation expenses for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three years or more of experience in hydraulic component repair operations.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, analyze, and interpret working drawings, technical specifications, etc.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience with overhead lifting equipment.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the country in which the position is located.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive/predictive inspections, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs hydraulic components including tear down, repair, and reassembly.
  • Inspects components for corrosion, wear, and pitting.
  • Tests various makes of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment from manufacturers such as Parker, Danfoss, Rexroth, Komatsu, and Caterpillar.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Follows specific and detailed work processes within Gir Del’s processes during daily job activities.
  • Assists with documentation produced during daily responsibilities.
  • Ensures duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed.
  • Maintains workspace in an orderly manner.
  • Fully participates and complies with all Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensures compliance in respective areas of control with all QHSE Management System requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures product quality, workmanship, and conformance to all applicable processes, requirements, and regulatory standards in accordance with the established quality assurance system.
  • Is a proactive team member and identifies particular needs for product lines and/or processes.
  • Performs other duties as required.
