Requirements
- Experience with various hydraulic systems and machinery
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and machinery
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent industry-related experience.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- 5 or more years of proven experience as a Hydraulic Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or marine/industrial environment preferred.
- Completion of a technical training program in hydraulics is preferred
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system failures using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques
- Monitor equipment and machinery to detect early signs of malfunction or wear.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair or replace defective components such as pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and hoses.
- Interpret technical drawings, design specifications, service manuals, flowcharts, and manufacturer instructions to repair, install, and test machinery.
- Properly align and secure hydraulic components to ensure safe and efficient functionality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Conduct routine inspections of hydraulic systems and components
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematic and blueprints
- Operate diagnostic tools and machinery for system evaluations
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Install new Hydraulic systems and components
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues and overall efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in hydraulic technology
- Performs other duties as assigned
