Requirements

  • Experience with various hydraulic systems and machinery
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and machinery
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent industry-related experience.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of proven experience as a Hydraulic Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or marine/industrial environment preferred.
  • Completion of a technical training program in hydraulics is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system failures using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Monitor equipment and machinery to detect early signs of malfunction or wear.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair or replace defective components such as pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and hoses.
  • Interpret technical drawings, design specifications, service manuals, flowcharts, and manufacturer instructions to repair, install, and test machinery.
  • Properly align and secure hydraulic components to ensure safe and efficient functionality.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Conduct routine inspections of hydraulic systems and components
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematic and blueprints
  • Operate diagnostic tools and machinery for system evaluations
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Install new Hydraulic systems and components
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues and overall efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior technicians
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in hydraulic technology
  • Performs other duties as assigned
