About The Position

The Hydraulic Technician I is responsible for performing assembly and testing on valves and assemblies by interpreting blueprints and job instructions. This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Liquids department and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is typically Monday thru Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM but flexible scheduling due to business needs as well as overtime are routine. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) and minimum of two (2) years of experience in a position demonstrating mechanical aptitude.
  • Working knowledge and prior experience using hand tools and gages (torque wrenches, calipers) and ability to read and comprehend blueprints, job sheets, and written work instructions.
  • Computer proficient in Word, Excel, Lotus Notes or Outlook, and searching internet for maintenance related solutions.
  • Continuous mental and visual attention is required.
  • Minimum of 35 lbs. lifting weight.
  • Lifting frequency: Daily.
  • Required to stand for long time periods (for a minimum of 8 hours or more).
  • Be able to work with machinery with heights (i.e., work platforms).
  • Frequently twist and bend.
  • Be able to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Trade school degree in automotive service technology or aircraft maintenance.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic / pneumatic principles and related hardware (flow testing, cracking and resetting of valves)

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and testing on valves and assemblies by interpreting blueprints and job sheets, maintaining high productivity while producing quality parts.
  • Follow written technical instructions and drawings.
  • Set-up test stand and test valves and assemblies to meet specifications on job sheets.
  • Proof test by placing valves in block and re-testing.
  • Troubleshoot problems during assembly and test.
  • Work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and inventory of company hand tools and tooling.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data, Follower Tags, ATP, Slitter Sheets, etc.
