About The Position

A Hydraulic Installation Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems and components. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the proper functioning of hydraulic equipment, machinery, and systems in various industries, such as manufacturing, construction, agriculture, and transportation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in hydraulic systems is a plus.
Proven experience in hydraulic system installation, maintenance, and repair
Proficiency in reading hydraulic schematics and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of hydraulic components, including pumps, valves, hoses, and cylinders.
Familiarity with hydraulic fluid types, filtration systems, and contamination control.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy hydraulic components and equipment.
Comfort working in confined spaces and at various heights.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Install, assemble, and test hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, hoses, cylinders, and reservoirs.
Ensure that hydraulic systems meet industry standards and specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to plan and execute installations.
Conduct pressure and flow tests to verify the performance and efficiency of hydraulic systems.
Calibrate hydraulic equipment and components to meet operational requirements.
Maintain detailed records of hydraulic system installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Create reports and documentation for clients and internal records.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the safe operation of hydraulic systems.
Educate team members and clients on hydraulic system safety best practices.
Manage and maintain hydraulic installation tools and equipment.
Ensure that tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
Interact with customers to provide information, address concerns, and offer recommendations for hydraulic system improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in hydraulic systems.
Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
