About The Position

PIRTEK in Gurnee is seeking to hire a full-time Shop Assistant to make custom hose assemblies, keep the warehouse in great shape, and provide an outstanding customer experience. This position's pay range is $20 - $22/hour (depending on experience). Overtime is available and some Saturday mornings (8am-12pm) may be required and is paid at an overtime rate of time and a half. PIRTEK is the hydraulic hose leader in sales and service and the only brand of its kind in franchising in the United States. We have more than 20 years of experience in the hydraulic and industrial hose replacement field and use that experience to provide the best service possible. We provide on-site hydraulic hose replacement and repair. We also offer custom hose fabrication in a retail/shop setting. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Experience with basic hand tools
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal background check and pass a drug screening
• Motivated to learn and advance skills
• Mechanical aptitude and enjoy fixing things
• Enjoy working with others
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Take pride in work

Responsibilities

• Make custom hose assemblies
• Keep the warehouse in great shape
• Provide an outstanding customer experience
• Make custom hose and tubing assemblies for walk-in customers or field technicians
• Specify the correct replacement assembly based on customer-provided samples and specifications
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and welcoming
• Provide inventory and restock support for field technicians
