About The Position

A Hydraulic Assembler is responsible for building, testing, and inspecting hydraulic systems and components such as pumps, valves, hoses, and cylinders. Success in this role requires a combination of technical, mechanical, and safety-related skills to ensure systems are assembled correctly, operate reliably, and meet required quality standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to assemble hydraulic systems, including bending and fitting hard lines, and following blueprints and bills of materials.
  • Experience assembling pumps using technical drawings
  • Skills in connecting hoses and electrical harnesses, running, making, cleaning, and protecting hoses.
  • Installing and troubleshooting cylinders, bushings, pipes, and hoses on booms and sticks.
  • Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure correct fit and function.
  • Using screwdrivers, wrenches, and other manual tools during assembly.
  • Operating torque wrenches, pneumatic air tools, calibrators, and measuring tapes.
  • Ability to use/read precision measuring equipment
  • Understanding mechanical systems and fluid dynamics
  • Ensuring quality control and correct installation
  • Follow procedures, operate tools and equipment safely, and maintain hazard-free work area
  • Identifying and resolving assembly issues
  • Collaborating with engineers and other technicians and reporting issues effectively
  • Adapting to challenges and learning new technologies
  • Meeting deadlines while maintaining quality
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Machine shop experience is a plus
