About The Position

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Hybrid Edge Solutions Architect to support our Global Government customers. As a Hybrid Specialist Solutions Architect, you will have the opportunity to work directly with product and engineering teams, AWS customers, and partners looking to integrate with their products and service offerings. You will focus on a product suite that includes AWS Outposts, AWS Local Zones, and AI Factory. If you have a deep understanding of data center and global enterprise networking, you could be a great fit for this role. This is a customer-facing position where you will introduce new features and products in order to help our Global Government customers to embrace technological advancement. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys interpersonal communication as you will be heavily interacting and partnering with other teams across AWS including security & compliance, development teams, field solutions architecture, sales, marketing, and professional services.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cloud architecture
• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• US Citizen
• Currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

• Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
• certification in an applicable field like A+, Net+, Sec+, CCNA, LPIC, Linux+, AWS certification, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
• Experience in data center, networking engineering, systems engineering or construction management with a good understanding of data center technologies such as power, cooling and controls systems

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Defining implementation architectures.
• Responding to RFPs.
• Developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
• Being a subject matter expert on Hybrid Edge as it relates to customer applications and services.
• Providing thoughtful technical design and offering sensitivity to our customer needs in the Defense markets for cloud computing working with a truly innovative sales and business development team.
• Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community.
• Learning from, collaborating with, and educating some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.
