About The Position

Joshua Tree Experts is seeking a Hybrid Climber / Sales Arborist for their Raleigh/Durham location. This role is designed for experienced climbers who want to develop skills in estimating and sales. The position offers a hybrid schedule of three days per week in the canopy performing advanced climbing and rigging, and two days per week focused on property consultations, tree health diagnosis, and closing sales. The company offers flexibility for career growth, allowing individuals to remain in the hybrid role or transition to a full-time Arborist Account Manager position.

Requirements

3+ years of professional, hands-on climbing and bucket truck experience in the tree care industry.
Highly proficient in advanced rigging and safe removal techniques.
Deep understanding of tree biology, local species identification, and proper pruning standards.
ISA Certified Arborist credential is required (or the ability/willingness to obtain it within your first 6 months).
Ability to communicate professionally with both blue-collar crews and affluent homeowners.
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Execute safe, efficient, and technically advanced pruning and tree removals.
Lead by example on the job site, setting pace and safety standards for the ground crew.
Ensure all climbing gear, rigging equipment, and chainsaws are inspected and maintained to industry safety standards.
Meet with high-end residential and commercial clients to assess their property, diagnose tree health issues, and identify hazards.
Build accurate, profitable quotes for tree care, plant health care, and removals.
Follow up with clients and close contracts.
Actively prospect and build relationships in your local Raleigh/Durham territory to generate leads and maintain a full pipeline.
