About The Position

As a Hy-Chi Department Clerk, this position will be responsible for filling customer orders, handling food in a safe manner, ordering and receiving products, making sure orders are correct, and labeling dating, and putting product away. Additionally, you will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members. This role requires the ability to carry out detailed instructions, perform simple calculations, and understand verbal or demonstrated instructions. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to flour, dust, noise, and temperature extremes, as well as occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals. The starting hourly wage is between $13.50 and $16.80, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Pulling product from cooler/freezer to prepare for cooking
  • Checking in product, putting product away, and reviewing invoices
  • Running the department register and receiving payment
  • Removing trash in a timely manner
  • Maintaining strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
  • Adhering to company policies and individual store guidelines
  • Reporting to work when scheduled and on time
  • Washing dishes as necessary
  • Ordering product and supplies as necessary
  • Pricing product for customers as necessary
  • Delivering orders as needed
  • Assisting in other areas of store as needed
