About The Position

A Highway Tech monitors and sets up the robots according to the gears that need to be ran and troubleshoots these robots if a situation arises. A Highway Tech is expected to be able to perform all of these operations for which they have received training. Job Description: General Duties: Sees to it that the machine is running efficiently. Makes sure that the machine is supplied with the steel powder press. Gives a thorough check to each part. (Looking for faults within the parts) Reads and interprets process charts. Performs all visual inspections and dimensional checks called for on check sheet, using the gages or measuring equipment specified records or charts results as called for on the process sheet. Unloads the machine carefully in an orderly arrangement. Uses variety of measuring devices. Implements nonconforming material procedure if any nonconforming parts are found during the production cycle. Performs other duties assigned. Keeps track of the number of parts ran. Maintains a safe work area by performing general housekeeping duties in work area. Fixes the machine when broken. (If it is a common error)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions
