About The Position

Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, great ideas have a way of becoming great products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish. As a Hardware Engineering EPS Librarian in SoftGoods, you play a vital role at the very start of Apple's product development chain — getting hardware into engineers' hands. You'll be the backbone of our inventory and distribution operations, managing the secure movement of prototype hardware across a large, dynamic cross-functional organization. You will support shipping and receiving, as well as coordinating compliance with U.S. Customs requirements, while working closely with contract manufacturers and international vendors to keep things moving. We are the SoftGoods Project Management team, made up of Engineering Project Managers (EPM) and Engineering Project Specialists (EPS) within the Hardware Program Management organization. As you grow in the role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to supporting build activities on hardware programs. You will work closely with international suppliers on material availability and collaborate with the broader project management team on build planning and execution. Why SoftGoods? We work with textiles, silicone and soft polymers — and we do so with the environment always in mind. Our mission is to use these incredible materials to enable new product categories and to enhance Apple’s existing product lines. Bringing Apple engineering and precision to products made of soft materials is an exciting challenge and requires a creative and open minded approach. We have a talented team of people from a wide variety of backgrounds. We all work together in a beautiful customized lab where we design, engineer and develop the best softgoods products in the world.
