About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Supervisor to lead our Assembly operations at Hollister-Whitney, part of Vantage Elevation. Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing, GAL Canada, Hollister-Whitney, Elevator Controls, Courion, Bore-Max, Thames Valley Controls, and Vertical Dimensions. Through its brands, Vantage supplies nearly all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Founded in 1927, Vantage employs over 900 people across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. As the Assembly Supervisor, you will own the day-to-day performance of the assembly floor—driving safety, quality, and production results while leading and developing a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role where you will be expected to remove barriers, solve problems, and deliver results.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in a union environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes and production workflows
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications
  • Proven leadership ability to drive performance, coach employees, and manage conflict
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of safety standards and Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems

Responsibilities

  • Drive a culture of safety and accountability, ensuring adherence to Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safe work practices
  • Lead daily assembly operations to meet or exceed production, quality, and delivery targets
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor to support employees and resolve issues in real time
  • Assign work, monitor workflow, and adjust staffing to meet production demands
  • Coach, develop, and hold employees accountable for performance and behavior
  • Address performance concerns through coaching and corrective action
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and applicable labor agreements
  • Partner with Production, Materials, Engineering, and Quality to ensure smooth operations
  • Identify and resolve production issues while driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead safety discussions and reinforce expectations across the team
  • Maintain 5S standards and an organized, efficient work environment
  • Plan and manage production schedules to meet output and delivery expectations
