About The Position

Hitachi Energy USA INC is seeking an experienced HVDC Epoxy Mold Builder Technician in Alamo, Tennessee. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the quality and readiness of molds, fixtures, and tooling for production. The technician will perform inspections, cleaning, lubrication, repairs, and routine maintenance on molds and related equipment. They will also manage inventory, troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and scrap, and optimize mold performance in collaboration with the Engineering team. Adherence to safety rules, procedures, and participation in 5S activities are essential for maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.

Requirements

• Experience as an Epoxy Mold Builder Technician
• Ability to inspect molds for quality and adherence to specifications
• Proficiency in cleaning and lubricating molds
• Skill in replacing worn or broken parts and performing repairs to molds and related equipment
• Experience in managing inventory of connection fittings
• Ability to conduct routine and preventative maintenance on molds and document activities
• Capability to troubleshoot molds and support production
• Skill in monitoring, evaluating, and optimizing mold performance
• Knowledge of safety rules and procedures
• Experience with 5S activities

Responsibilities

• Inspect molds for quality and adherence to specifications
• Clean and lubricate molds; ensure molds, fixtures, and tooling are maintained in a production-ready condition to meet scheduled production
• Replace worn or broken parts and perform repairs to molds and related equipment
• Manage inventory of connection fittings to adequately prepare molding sections for processing
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on molds; document maintenance activities as required
• Troubleshoot molds and support production to minimize downtime and scrap
• Monitor, evaluate, and optimize mold performance; With support from Engineering, adjust mold building techniques and process to support quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures and ensure work meets required safety standards
• Follow and participate in 5S activities to sustain a safe, visual, and efficient workspace.
