About The Position
Productive Resources is seeking an HVC Embedded Software Engineer to join their engineering team at a customer's facility in Urbandale, IA. This full-time, indefinite position offers opportunities for professional growth within the organization. The role involves developing embedded software solutions for HVC products, taking them from concept to production, and supporting the HVC product team.
Requirements
- Good understanding of target systems (HVC machines, tractors) within and across production systems.
- 3 years of experience in development within cross-platform solutions and systems integration.
- 3 years of successful performance and experience in executing TDP discovery solutions and converting in PDP projects.
- 3 years of good collaboration skills with customers, cooperators and partners and John Deer cross-platform communication.
- Experience in software engineering practices and the appropriate tools to develop JD Display and controller software including simulation methods and sensor handling.
- Experience in a Linux Environment and coding with lua (C, C++), embedded C, MATLAB/Simulink, and QML for User Interface development, or experience coding in other similar languages.
- Experience in using tools such as GitHub, C/C++, lua, QML, JSON, Protobuf schema, Data analysis tools (Operation Center).
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, test, and maintain embedded software solutions for HVC machines, tractors, displays, and controllers.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to translate product requirements and discover concepts into production-ready software.
- Support software integration across multiple platforms, including sensors, controllers, displays, and other machine systems.
- Perform software simulation, testing, debugging, and data analysis to identify and resolve system issues.
- Collaborate with customers, engineering teams, cooperators, and external partners to develop and implement software solutions.
