About The Position

The HVACR Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and efficiency of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining HVACR equipment to meet client specifications and regulatory standards. The technician will work closely with customers and team members to provide timely solutions that enhance indoor air quality and system reliability. A strong focus on preventative maintenance and troubleshooting is essential to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Ultimately, the HVACR Technician contributes to creating comfortable and safe environments while supporting energy-efficient practices.

Requirements

  • EPA Certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial refrigeration service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, prep tables, and related systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and routine service.
  • Install and replace refrigeration components and equipment as required.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Test refrigeration systems, identify issues, and complete necessary repairs.
  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding service findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
  • Participate in after-hours or on-call service rotation as required.
