About The Position

This position is for a 2nd shift HVACR Technician responsible for the operation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of various utility equipment including compressors, pumps, boilers, blowers, refrigeration and heating units, ventilating equipment, cooling towers, and water treating units. The role involves making mechanical and electrical repairs to this equipment, as well as installing and adjusting controls, control systems, ducts, and pipes. The technician will also perform similar functions on pneumatic and hydraulic equipment (excluding production machinery) and use maintenance machine tools for repairs. This role may involve directing and instructing other maintenance personnel. Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR regulations.

Requirements

• Three (3) years’ experience as an Operating Engineer of Utility Equipment
• One (1) year of which must have been spent installing and operating heating and air conditioning equipment (single or multiple units of 50HP or more).
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee) due to ITAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains, services, and adjusts all compressors, pumps, boilers, blowers, refrigeration and heating units, ventilating equipment, cooling towers, and water treating units.
• Makes necessary repairs to utility equipment (except air compressors) and performs mechanical repairs on electrical parts related to such utility equipment.
• Connects and adjusts controls, control systems, ducts, and pipes for successful operation of equipment.
• Performs functions on all Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment used in plant facilities (excluding production machinery).
• Uses maintenance machine tools and performs bench operations to service and repair utility equipment.
• May direct and instruct other maintenance personnel.
