About The Position

Johnson Controls, a leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12, and Commercial Real Estate, is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join their growing business. This role offers the opportunity to service and maintain advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment, learn from top HVAC teams, and receive factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA). As a trusted advisor, you will solve comfort and building inefficiency issues, acting as a key point of contact for customers.

Requirements

Adherence to the company Safety Program.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with ability to work independently.
A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.
This is a Bargaining Unit Position.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical installations and drive results under the direction of the Employer, limited by their capabilities and at the respective apprentice rate of pay.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to HVAC equipment.
Respond to basic warranty calls.
Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues.
Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
