Requirements

  • Practical work experience in HVAC piping, plumbing, pipefitting, and/or mechanical equipment service industry.
  • Practical working experience in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment.
  • Minimum of Three (3) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Experience with Rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, compressors, plumbing.
  • Experience with mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators of pumps, fans, Compressors.
  • Able to use vibration equipment to trouble shoot drivelines.
  • Travel may be required 10% to 20% to support Branch Customers activities, trouble shooting, installation and repair.
  • Must pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
  • Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills.
  • Able to write and communicate to the customer problem, cause, and corrective actions.
  • Able to provide quotes to customers.
  • Self-starter with a passion/ desire to learn and apply on the job.
  • Universal EPA refrigerants license.
  • Applicable state or local licensing.
  • Valid driver's license.

  • May be required to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify special skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
  • Provide the highest level of service to customers to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing solutions and outcomes during commissioning and aftermarket service.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including identifying upselling opportunities.
  • Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
  • System troubleshooting, repair, and aftermarket services for the HVAC business.
  • Perform mechanical troubleshooting on Rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, compressors, and plumbing.
  • Perform mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators on pumps, fans, and compressors.
  • Use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drivelines.
  • Travel may be required 10% to 20% to support Branch Customers activities, troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
  • Enroll in training programs to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
  • Work with other local market mechanics, servicemen, and apprentices.
  • Write and communicate to the customer the problem, cause, and corrective actions.
  • Participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
  • Prioritize safety in all forms.
