HVAC Truck Based Mechanic Serviceman (union)
About The Position
This opportunity offers the chance to commission, service and maintain the most advanced commercial equipment in the world. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will consult with our customers on comfort, building inefficiency and other service-related issues. We provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition and monetary rewards and advancement. You will have direct access to Factory Technical Support. We will equip you with the safety equipment, uniforms, tools, cell phone, technical equipment and vehicle required for your job.
Requirements
- Adherence to the company Safety Program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance and repair of three phase Commercial HVAC equipment, RTU’s, Heat Pumps and Fans.
- A valid driver’s license.
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Be willing to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.
Nice To Haves
- Five (5) years of Commercial and or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance and minor repair pumps, VFD’s, Air Handling Units, and Rooftop units.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
- Recommend solutions to ensure facilities are running efficiently.
- Identify enhancements that will provide customer systems reliability and sustainability at the time of service.
- Provide labor and material quotes to support your recommendations.
- Participate in weekend, night, and holiday call out service on a rotating basis.
- Assist Journeymen in the repair and service of centrifugal, absorption, screw and scroll chillers.
