About The Position

Daikin Applied is seeking an HVAC Test Technician III as part of our planned lab expansion. This role offers a 4-day work week, a 10% shift differential for the second shift (2 PM - 12:30 AM, Monday-Thursday), and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

• Associate’s degree in HVAC&R or related experience
• Regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 35 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Peripheral vision.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
• Ability to work at heights.

Nice To Haves

• Experience related to mechanical test lab or field service
• Fork truck training/license, Man lift training/license, Universal card, or R410a card
• Mentorship experience

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard.
• Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance.
• Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions.
• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times.
• Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
• Maintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams.
• Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications.
• Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements.
• Create records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures.
• Improve laboratory activities on a continuous basis.
• Implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities.
• Provide direction, assistance and training to other technicians (senior roles only).
