About The Position

This role involves performing analytical duties related to HVAC systems. The technician will demonstrate knowledge of refrigeration and electrical components, their use, and proper operation. Familiarity with HVAC and dehumidification systems, as well as various refrigerant gases (R-134, R407C, R410A, etc.), is required. The position also requires industrial electrical knowledge for troubleshooting HVAC or environmental control systems. The technician will assist and train under a Test Technician II and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience prior to advancing to the next level
• Ability to use all appropriate test equipment including, but not limited to, meters, refrigeration gauges, etc
• Ability to use all safe practices when dealing with electricity and pressurized systems
• HVAC training/school required or in-process
• Working knowledge of HVAC formulas used in sizing/selection of product and a complete understanding of psychometrics and the use of psychometric formulas

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of refrigeration and electrical components, their use, and the proper operation of those components
• Be familiar with HVAC and dehumidification systems
• Have knowledge of different refrigerant gasses (R-134, R407C, R410A, etc.)
• Have industrial electrical knowledge to trouble shoot HVAC or environmental control systems
• Assist the Test Technician II; train in all areas of Test
• Perform other duties, as assigned
