About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting with general maintenance, repairs, and service of utilities, with a specific focus on HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role involves diagnosing and repairing HVAC and refrigeration issues, logging refrigeration usage according to EPA guidelines, and performing preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment. Additionally, the technician will handle minor electrical and general plumbing work, maintain tools and equipment, and utilize a computerized maintenance management system for work orders. A key aspect of the role is establishing and maintaining good working relationships with members, employees, guests, contractors, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Must be currently certified in HVAC
  • Minimum two years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration and electrical
  • Must have thorough knowledge of the common methods, tools, and equipment used in HVAC installation and repairs
  • Valid GA driver’s license with a good record
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, stoop, and lift a maximum of 100 lbs
  • Must able to withstand various weather conditions
  • Must possess skills of diplomacy and tact while dealing with members, employees, guests, contactors, and vendors

Nice To Haves

  • General knowledge in all trades preferred-electrical, plumbing, heating, carpentry and painting with minimum 3 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists with general maintenance, repairs and service of utilities
  • Responds to HVAC and refrigeration service problems; diagnoses and repairs
  • Logs any refrigeration usage including evacuation per EPA guidelines
  • Performs repairs and maintenance, including preventative maintenance of buildings and equipment throughout Reynolds Lake Oconee
  • Performs minor electrical work, as required
  • Performs general plumbing work such as unstopping drains, repairing faucets, soldering and brazing
  • Keeps tools, equipment and machines clean and in safe operating order
  • Maintains a clean work area and work vehicle at all times
  • Follows all procedures for safe and efficient operation of tools, equipment and machines
  • Utilizes the computerized maintenance management system to complete work orders
  • Abides by all federal, state and company safety guidelines
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with members, employees, guests, contractors, and vendors
