About The Position

The HVAC Technician performs repairs and maintenance and evaluates the effectiveness of HVAC equipment, controls, and related systems, including air handlers, packaged heating and cooling units, heat pumps, refrigerators, ice machines, and pneumatic HVAC controls. Work must be performed safely and efficiently. The position also requires performing repairs and maintenance in patient rooms, offices, and other assigned hospital areas, and providing support at off-site hospital-owned properties. The role includes the requirements of a General Maintenance Mechanic.

Requirements

• One to two years of formal training in mechanical or construction trades.
• Upon hire, National EPA Section 608 Certification – State County City Trade License Authority.
• Two years of HVAC operations experience and experience with associated systems and equipment in an industrial or institutional environment.
