About The Position

As an HVAC Technician at JLL, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the mechanical systems that keep our clients' facilities running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing complex HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing systems while ensuring all work is documented and compliant with safety standards. Your technical expertise and proactive approach to preventive maintenance will directly contribute to JLL's commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction. Requirements

  • High school diploma or state equivalent
  • Minimum two years of experience working with mechanical systems
  • Two years of related trade schooling or equivalent technical training
  • EPA Universal Refrigeration license
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and local building codes
  • Proficiency with computer equipment, building management systems (BMS), and work order systems
  • Ability to operate electric hand tools, work on ladders and building roofs, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, and operate required equipment and motor vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning equipment, boilers, ventilating and hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, filters, and other mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Analyze system data (reliability, service calls, performance metrics) and develop recommendations with the Chief Engineer for maintenance changes, upgrades, or replacements
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment, including assembling necessary tools, minimizing disruption, conducting immediate cleanup, and completing task documentation
  • Install and repair plumbing, piping, tubing, electrical wiring for single and three-phase motors, pumps, heat exchangers, bearings, seals, valves, filters, and associated controls
  • Capture and document all repair and maintenance data (material costs, contract labor costs, JLL effort) on work orders and maintain up-to-date system documentation in a central resource location
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and take corrective action to restore systems to optimal performance
  • Maintain tools, order supplies as needed, and comply with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and safe workspace
