The HVAC Technician performs preventive maintenance (PM), unscheduled/corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operational support of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration, hydronic, and building automation systems supporting U.S. Naval Hospital Branch Clinic facilities. The technician is responsible for maintaining HVAC systems in a safe, reliable, and efficient operating condition while supporting the environmental requirements of an active healthcare facility. Work includes chillers, boilers, hot-water and chilled-water systems, air-handling equipment, terminal units, Building Automation Systems (BAS), controls, pumps, and associated mechanical equipment. The HVAC Technician shall perform work in accordance with contract requirements, manufacturer recommendations, applicable codes and standards, safety requirements, and established facility maintenance procedures.
