About The Position

ABM is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician III to service commercial clients throughout the Austin/Houston area. This field-based opportunity is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex HVAC systems, performing preventive maintenance, and completing high-quality repairs. Technicians are dispatched directly from home, offering greater convenience and independence throughout the workday. Commercial HVAC service experience is required; residential-only experience will not qualify.

Requirements

4+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
EPA Universal Certification
High school diploma or GED
Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Ability to lift equipment and perform physical job duties
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed

Large-tonnage equipment
Air-cooled chillers (any level)
Technical/trade training

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs and large packaged units
Perform preventive maintenance and service repairs for contracted customers
Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using industry-standard tools
Service large-tonnage equipment 100+ tons
Document work performed and communicate clearly with customers
Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards
