About The Position

This position involves specific day to day responsibilities in the MCW buildings as well as minimal supervised responsibilities in more intricate repair and replacement aspects of HVAC and other Research Building mechanical systems. As an HVAC Maintenance Technician, you will be a go-to expert for ensuring the smooth operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a diverse mix of new, and aging buildings.

Requirements

Knowledge of safety practices, emergency procedures, operations and maintenance, risk management, planning and evaluation.
Task management, coordination, and problem solving.
High school or equivalent
3 years of experience
Appropriate experience may be substituted on equivalent basis.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems to keep our buildings running efficiently.
Performing regular preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns and ensure consistent performance.
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues related to HVAC equipment.
Monitoring system performance and making adjustments to improve energy efficiency.
Collaborating with the facilities team to support general building maintenance.
Responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring minimal disruption to daily campus operations.
Keeping your working area safe, wearing and/or using appropriate safety equipment and tools, and abiding by established safety policies and procedures.
