About The Position

This role provides HVAC equipment delivery, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and customer support for a large equipment operation. The HVAC Technician will work directly with customers, managers, and sales teams while ensuring rental equipment is properly installed, tested, maintained, and ready for use.

Requirements

3-5 years of formal HVAC experience or training
Experience troubleshooting and repairing climate control equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Basic math skills
Ability to safely work with propane and natural gas connections
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to work some evenings and weekends during peak periods
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently while following established safety procedures

HVAC certificate preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver and install portable HVAC and climate control equipment at customer locations
Train customers and authorized operators on the safe use of equipment
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and climate control equipment
Understand the operation, specifications, capabilities, and controls of rental equipment
Install flexible gas hose for propane and natural gas applications
Safely inspect and verify gas connections
Clean, test, and inspect returned equipment to ensure proper operation and appearance
Complete paperwork for deliveries, pickups, installations, and service calls
Maintain accurate equipment records, serial numbers, and rental tracking
Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers
Safely operate company vehicles and follow all company safety procedures
Support emergency service calls through a rotating on-call schedule
Perform general shop duties and assist with equipment preparation and maintenance
