Responsible to assist with the operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities. This role involves assisting with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC. The technician will also clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of devices, assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems, and replace/repair building finishes. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, evaluating, and making recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and implement savings opportunities. The role requires competent knowledge of facility and ground maintenance tools and equipment, and the ability to respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests. Inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety and maintenance are also key. The technician will maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary, and comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and directives. Proficiency in using technology such as smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, and building automation systems is expected. All required C&W Safety Training must be completed annually, and the C&W Uniform Dress Code must be adhered to.
