About The Position

The HVAC Technician I shall be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs of equipment and systems at the DEA Aviation Operations Center (AOC), 2300 Horizon Drive, Alliance Airport in Ft. Worth, TX.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of recent (within the past 7 years) experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment and systems covered by the contract.
  • High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
  • Must have and maintain Texas HVAC licenses/certifications.
  • Must have knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in the HVAC Technician field.
  • Must have a working knowledge and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and driving history must meet company standards throughout employment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check as a condition of employment and to obtain access to federal installations.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to service requests, initiate corrective actions, and identify any repair requirements.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment and systems in accordance with the current manufacturer warranties, operating manuals, and test recommendations.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment based on the manufacturer's recommended procedures and frequencies.
  • Perform full housekeeping duties at the Firing Range, consisting of vacuuming, spot cleaning on request, and monthly preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Inspect condensate drip pans of all air handling units, A/C package units, and other equipment and/or systems that physically have drip pans.
  • Maintain and utilize the Building Automation System (BAS) to ensure the facility equipment and systems are operating properly.
  • Maintain, repair, and keep functional all plumbing systems, to include system drains and toilet and sink blockages.
  • Maintain, repair, replace, modify, and restore the architectural and structural components of the building, to include walls, floors, doors, windows, docks, levelers, lighting, etc.
  • Maintain elevator equipment and systems in a safe, operational and clean condition.
  • Maintain and keep fully functional all fire protection and life safety systems and equipment.
  • Perform snow and ice removal support necessary to maintain the facility grounds to continue normal operations.
  • Provide reasonable and competent assistance to DEA personnel and/or contractors performing energy studies, engineering studies, building condition evaluations, project designs, and other access needs.
