About The Position

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and installing HVAC systems, electrical equipment and related building systems within the school district. This role involves diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, installing new systems, and maintaining preventive maintenance schedules. The position requires the ability to respond to after-hour or weekend calls as needed.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas Driver's License
• Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance and installation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and written reference material
• Must live within school district, or be within a reasonable driving distance to answer after-hour or weekend calls when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment throughout the district.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of heating and air conditioning systems.
• Repair, replace or calibrate controls including thermostats and switches.
• Install new heating and a/c systems and components and relocate and expand existing systems as needed.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for all HVAC equipment, including changing of filters and cleaning condensers and coils.
• Receive and complete work orders.
• Other duties as assigned.
