About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist (HVAC) to provide diagnostic assistance for residential and light commercial HVAC equipment. This role focuses on technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis, supporting contractors and technicians through structured diagnostic processes. The position plays a key role in reducing warranty exposure and improving customer technical outcomes. This is not a field technician or sales role. The position is office-based and focused on technical evaluation and support.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years HVAC technical experience
  • Strong understanding of split systems and heat pump operation
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Professional customer communication ability

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
  • Experience supporting contractors or distributors highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Provide HVAC troubleshooting support via phone and ticketing system (Freshdesk)
  • Analyze wiring diagrams, refrigeration circuits, and system performance
  • Interpret voltage, amperage, and pressure readings
  • Identify whether failures are related to installation, operation, or component defects
  • Document technical findings within internal systems
  • Record diagnostic readings and supporting information
  • Maintain clear and structured case documentation
  • Ensure claims meet internal technical validation standards
