About The Position

We are seeking an HVAC Tech to support the Veteran community in the Montgomery, AL area. These positions are open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals. The role involves performing regular maintenance, inspecting systems, diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, and monitoring central air conditioning systems to ensure optimal environmental control and maintain indoor air quality. The HVAC Tech will work closely with other maintenance staff and hospital departments to ensure seamless operation of HVAC systems.

Requirements

Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship
3+ years of professional HVAC Tech experience and knowledge in the construction field
OSHA 30-hour construction certification
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Work at heights and climb ladders.
Work in confined spaces.
Work in high temperatures.
Work in a noisy environment.
Work may involve potential hazardous exposures such as asbestos, machine parts, soot, dirt, grease, chemicals, oil, and fumes.
Ability to function safely while wearing a respirator - Work requiring an OSHA-approved respirator and proper fit tested.
Standing and bending for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform regular maintenance tasks such as changing filters, cleaning coils, and checking system performance.
Inspect HVAC systems for wear and tear and efficiency.
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems.
Replace faulty components like motors, compressors, and thermostats.
Monitor and adjust central air conditioning systems to ensure optimal environmental control for patient care areas.
Maintain indoor air quality by ensuring proper ventilation and humidity control.
Work closely with other maintenance staff and hospital departments to ensure seamless operation of HVAC systems.
