About The Position
Our client, an established and growing company in the Fort Wayne area, is seeking a hands-on HVAC Team Lead to support field operations and guide a small team of technicians. This is a working lead role—you’ll remain active in the field while helping mentor others and support day-to-day service operations. The work is primarily commercial and job-site based, offering variety beyond traditional residential service calls.
Requirements
- 3+ years of HVAC experience (service or install)
- Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Interest in leadership or mentoring others
- Valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- This role is best suited for a mid-level technician ready to step into leadership.
- Only want residential service work
- Require $38+/hr base pay
- Prefer a highly structured corporate environment
Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC troubleshooting, service, and repair in commercial/job-site environments
- Lead and support a team of 1–3 technicians in the field
- Work with Corporate location in Fort Wayne Shop Manager and Office Manager
- Diagnose electrical controls using a multi-meter
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Assist with training and mentoring less experienced technicians
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient job completion
- Support resolution of more complex service issues
