About The Position

J.F. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Residential New Construction HVAC Field Superintendent. This role serves as the liaison between mechanics, the builder, and office support staff, overseeing the technical performance of mechanics and ensuring they have the guidance needed to succeed. The position requires a passion for quality and safety, confirming proper procedures are followed and materials are on-site before scheduling labor. The HVAC Superintendent will evaluate work quality at each construction phase, assist with complex installation challenges, communicate challenges or delays to the project manager, and is ultimately responsible for project profitability and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

8+ years of residential install experience
2 years of supervisory experience
Experience communicating with Builders
Experience managing tradesmen and Subcontractors
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Leadership ability
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Diplomatic
Effective problem-solving skills
Passionate about quality
Enjoy mentoring others

Responsibilities

Serve as the liaison between mechanics, the builder, and office support staff.
Take charge of the technical performance of the mechanics.
Ensure mechanics have the guidance needed to succeed.
Confirm that proper procedures are being followed by all staff.
Ensure that materials are at the job site prior to scheduling the labor needed to complete the work.
Evaluate the quality of work at each phase of construction.
Assist with complex project installation challenges.
Effectively communicate challenges or delays to the project manager.
Be responsible for the project's profitability and the meeting of deadlines for completion.
