About The Position
Skillforce has partnered with one of the leading sheet metal contractors in the DMV area to find a HVAC Sheet Metal Superintendent to lead complex commercial projects. This is a long-term, direct hire position.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in HVAC/ sheet metal construction
- Experience as a Sheet Metal Superintendent, General Foreman, or Lead Foreman
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, sequencing and ductwork
- Ability to follow project schedules and read drawings
- Understanding of SMACNA requirements
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
Responsibilities
- Lead the installation activities of sheet metal / HVAC onsite at commercial projects
- Coordinate with foremen and crews to plan daily and weekly work
- Be the primary liaison, mechanical trades, electrical, and controls to plan work
- Compare manpower and productivity against the schedule
- Ensure safety and quality requirements are being met
- Address punch list items and participate in inspections
- Communicate clearly with the Project Manager any issues that arise in the field
- Utilize Procore or similar mobile software
