About The Position
Skillforce is hiring experienced Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanics Journeymen for long-term commercial projects in the Portland, Maine area. Travelers are welcome. The role involves installing commercial ductwork, including rectangular and spiral duct, hanging duct, setting VAVs, RTUs, and accessories, and working from blueprints and specifications while following OSHA safety standards. The stated pay is $32–$36, depending on experience (DEO), plus $125 per day for qualified travelers, paid weekly. A minimum of 50 hours per week is available for qualified travelers.
Requirements
- Journeyman-level commercial sheet metal experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen, if required.
- Reliable transportation and tools.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 10 preferred.
