Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, technical training, or degree
  • Universal EPA/CFC license (non-negotiable)
  • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and production equipment repair and maintenance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of overall system design and applications for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to meet physical work requirements, including lifting up to 80 lbs., working from heights, climbing ladders (300 lb weight limit) up to 30 feet while carrying a tool bag (~20 lbs.), and working in adverse conditions (extreme cold/hot)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive for extended periods as needed
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC, plumbing, or other craft skills
  • Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and fire/life safety systems
  • Experience performing facility inspections and preparing detailed condition reports
  • Basic knowledge of production equipment maintenance and repair
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and client interaction
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components
  • Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repairs, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings
  • Study and become familiar with various equipment types and proper operational methods required in everyday activities, including building automation systems (BAS), fire/life safety systems, and other building-related equipment
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
  • Work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting up to 80 lbs., working from heights, climbing ladders up to 30 feet, and operating in extreme temperatures
  • Troubleshoot complex system failures and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless facility operations and excellent client service
  • Complete all other duties and tasks as assigned to support building operations and client needs
