We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician Helper to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of customer service.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver License w/acceptable driving record
  • Active EPA Certification preferred
  • Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal numbers.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mental stamina for problem-solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Help technicians diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment, for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs
  • Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace parts of existing units according to specifications with supervision
  • Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs
  • Help technicians maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for customers
  • Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered
  • Perform all jobs with safety first in mind
