About The Position

The Service Technician Apprenticeship is a full-time, paid field position focused on commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Our apprenticeship program is Department of Labor certified and provides apprentices with in-class training at little to no cost. The program is designed as a five-year apprenticeship, with wages based on a progressive pay scale. Credit toward the program may be given for prior HVAC mechanical experience or relevant schooling. As an HVAC Service Technician Apprentice, you will assist in providing HVAC service to commercial and industrial customers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems while developing technical skills in the field. Success in this role also requires establishing and maintaining strong communication with customers, project managers, and account managers. Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • A passing pre-employment drug screening and participation in a drug-free workplace
  • Has a current driver’s license and an impeccable driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Local Union 72 membership or willingness and ability to join Local Union 72
  • Working proficiency with computers (i.e., smartphone, iPad, laptop)
  • Ability and willingness to complete all required electronic paperwork accurately and on time

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or Technical school Certificate or Degree
  • EPA 608 Universal
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Prior HVAC mechanical experience
  • Relevant schooling
