About The Position

Boston Standard is looking for an HVAC Service Apprentice who wants to learn from experienced techs, get hands-on experience, and work toward becoming a full-fledged HVAC Service Technician. This role involves working with your hands, solving problems, learning something new every day, and building a career in a trade that’s always in demand. You will ride along with experienced HVAC Service Technicians, help diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, and get hands-on experience with various equipment. The goal is to build your skills and take on more responsibility as you grow.

Requirements

• HVAC school or vocational training preferred
• EPA 608 is a big plus
• Some hands-on HVAC experience is great, but we’re willing to teach
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using tools
• Reliable, motivated, and ready to learn
• Good with people and comfortable talking with customers
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Ride along with experienced HVAC Service Technicians
• Help diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC systems
• Get hands-on experience with AC, furnaces, heat pumps, boilers, and mini-splits
• Learn how to troubleshoot problems instead of just replacing parts
• Work directly with customers in their homes
• Build your skills and take on more responsibility as you grow
