HVAC Senior Project Manager

Southern Mechanical is seeking an experienced HVAC Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale HVAC construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Requirements
- 7+ years of HVAC project management experience
- Experience managing multifamily, commercial, or multi-story construction projects
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, construction methods, and mechanical codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasting
- Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software preferred
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to jobsites as needed

Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC construction projects from planning and startup through final completion
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and workforce planning
- Coordinate materials, equipment, subcontractors, and labor resources
- Drive project execution while proactively managing risks, delays, and scope changes
- Support successful project turnover and closeout processes
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and billing processes
- Monitor labor productivity, procurement, and job costing to support profitability
- Review and manage change orders, purchase orders, and project financial reporting
- Partner with operations and accounting teams to maintain financial accuracy and project performance
- Work closely with field leadership, superintendents, and installation teams
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and progress
- Resolve field conflicts, coordination issues, and operational challenges
- Promote accountability, collaboration, and strong communication across teams
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Lead project meetings and provide updates to customers and leadership
- Build strong working relationships that support repeat business and long-term partnerships
- Champion a safety-first culture on every project
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and project specifications
- Support quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes
- Maintain accurate project documentation within Procore or related systems
